Pastor Kurt D. King was born in the borough of Brooklyn, in New York City to Dr. and Mrs. George and Germyn King.  Being the son of a preacher, he has lived in four countries and traveled all over the Western Hemisphere.  He also had the privilege of matriculating through Christian education most of his life.
 
Pastor King accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and accepted to the call to become a pastor in his freshman year at La Sierra University.  He transferred to Oakwood College where he was the Parliamentarian of the Religion and Theology Forum, a member of Alpha Chi, a national honor society, and Willing, Succeeding and Black, Inc., a drama and community service organization and Student Task Force.  He graduated from Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama in 1998, with a Bachelor of Arts in Ministerial Theology. 

While at Oakwood he met his beautiful and talented wife, Pastor Andrea Trusty King, who he married on June 6, 1999.  In December of 2000, he finished the requirements for the Masters of Divinity, from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University, in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

Pastor Kurt King’s ministry experience includes being the Youth Pastor for the Perris Fifth Street SDA Church, in Perris, California.  Also, he worked alongside his wife as an Associate Pastor at the Highland Avenue Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
 
Currently, he is the pastor of the New Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he has worked to move the church forward.  He has preached all over the United States, and has also preached on the island of Antigua.  His passion is leadership, and his desire is to be all that Lord would have him be.  He has also done several seminars spanning such topics as lay Bible study training, marriage and family and church vision issues.

He and Pastor Andrea King are the proud parents of one girl, Lauryn Danielle.
